What Makes Our School Unique?

Neely's Bend Elementary School has provided quality education in the Madison area for more than 150 years. As we have changed from a rural to a suburban/urban setting, we have always met the challenge to remain an effective school. After a one-year absence from the building, the students, faculty and staff have recently returned to the newly-renovated building at 1300 Neely's Bend Road. Our School Improvement Plan for the coming year reflects this proud tradition. Our mission to empower students with the necessary skills to become responsible and productive world citizens is based on the premise that all students can learn in a nurturing, safe and accepting environment. Our commitment to improve student achievement is supported by a variety of teaching methods and strategies that recognize diferent student learning styles, rates and needs.
At Neely's Bend, we consider the community as a resoure, and our parents and students as partners. We provide many opportunities to ensure this partnership is involved in setting students' expectations, school decision-making and support activities. We encourage you to visit our school and meet our staff and students.
