Arrival

The building is open at 7:40 am to allow students time for breakfast. Breakfast will be served from 7:40-7:55. Please do not drop off students prior to 7:40am since there is no supervision for students before that time. Students who enter the building after the 8:00 am bell are tardy and will be marked as late by their teacher on the attendance record. Students coming to the building after 8:15 need to come to the office with an adult for proper check-in.

Dismissal

School is dismissed in the afternoon at 3:00 pm. Students are to be picked up no later than 3:15 pm. Our car riders are dismissed first to the front of the building with the walkers and bus riders being dismissed as called. The bus riders exit to the north side door and walkers out the front. Teachers will be with children as they are dismissed. Please follow traffic directions and safety rules as stated in our dismissal policy. Bus riders are to be picked up on the School Pass side of the building in the bus lane next to the school. Parents are asked not to pick up or drop off on School Pass. This area is for buses and is a danger to any children and is not a passage way.

Children should know before they leave home how they will be returning home. Send us a note when your child needs special arrangements or when there will be a change in their regular dismissal. It is the school’s policy that children who normally walk home will walk home, or who ride the bus home will ride the bus home. If they do not have a note stating that they will have a different way home for that day, we will follow their normal dismissal pattern.
